Summer Essentials

Summer is all about bronzed skin, relaxing at the beach, BBQ’s with friends, family time, flicking through the pages of your fav magazine and wearing some beautiful pieces of clothing & rocking that bathing suit you have had your eye on. It is all about effortless style.

Summer is one of my favourite seasons. Every year we head down to the Mornington peninsula for some much needed down time. I must say, I couldn’t get through summer without some much needed items.

Below are some of my “must haves” for this summer.

The “Summer Tote”- these beauties are by Project Ten they are such a versatile bag. Perfect for the beach, a swimming bag, grocery bag, make up bag, storage bag, or even an everyday bag, you name it. They are bright, colourful, stylish and perfect not just for summer but all year round. I own a few of these in different sizes and colours. They also make a great stocking filler.

A killer pair of sandals are always needed through summer. I love tan so these are the best to get you through day to night. They truly make a statement. There are so many designs out there for this summer, have fun and go with something bold!!

And it goes without saying, no summer holiday is complete without a stash of your favourite magazines!!

A GOOD, BIG beach towel is defianalty a top priory for me, especially when your littles ones always want to sit/lay on the one your are! KIDS!!!! haha. This one is by BLOT , check them out, great designs and awesome quality.

Bathers or bikinis, whatever you feel more comfortable in are of course a big “must have” for summer. I love both styles but fell in love with this Zimmerman one piece because I also convert it to a body suit and wear under pants or shorts for the day. Zimmerman is one of my favourite designers. you should check out the new swimwear they have in stock now!!! SOOOOO GOOOODDDDD!!!!!

PEARLY WHITES!!!!!! I have just recently discovered this Toothpaste called LEBON this collection offers three fragrances which are 100% natural, contains no paraben and the packaging ( which is the best I have ever seen for toothpaste ) is from sustainable forests.

I still can’t decide which is my favourite because they are all so yummy! LeBon definantly gives you that reason to smile, and makes your bathroom look even more stylish with these gorgeous products in them!

To feel and look your best you can’t go past a great fake tan. My all time favourite is Bondi Sands it gives you a streak free, natural looking tan that wears off really good. You can choose from foam, milk, lotion or even a gradual tanning moisturiser for daily use if you prefer something subtle and to keep that golden glow all year round.

UVA & UVA cause havoc on the skin, so its very important to wear SPF (not just in summer) I am currently using this Mecca Cosmetica To Save Face Superscreen 50 plus, this luxe facial sunscreen is non greasy, light weight, ultra hydrating and prefect under make up.

Sun, salt water and the UVA rays can completely dry the hair out, so to keep my hair in tip top condition I love Miracle Hair Treatment its perfect for all hair types, lightweight, leave-in treatment that not only protects the hair from the nasty elements, but also adds shine, moisture and controls frizz.

If you love a relaxed beach hair look I swear by Kevin Murphy Hair Resort Spray, it gives you a messy beach look that defines all hair hair types. Gives you lots of volume and works in seconds. 

Call me a “LIP GLOSS ADDICT” I love a great lip tint, to be honest I have way too many in practically the same colour. My new fav is Shine Lover by Lancome It is a high impact gloss with a balmy texture. Hydrating with a burst of colour. I don’t wear a lot of make up in summer. Tinted moisturiser, bronzer, mascara and lip gloss is all you need for that dewy summer skin.

A good Boater Style hat is what you need for the warmer months! Stylish and practical.
